Successful Surgery Card Series

The Challenge

Looking back at our old school assignments that could have been so much better, we sometimes wonder what they could have been if only we had the knowledge and skill back then that we have now. This is exactly how i felt with this personal project.

What was once a greeting card design involving medically accurate claymation hearts ragging on Valentine's Day in the perspective of being single, I challenged myself to revisit this project from a different angle, removing the tie to holidays, and make it more focused on the medical illustration that is striking on the final product.

Our Approach

The piece of the older undergraduate project that remained was the medical illustration aspect of the design. This was taken one step further to focus on the different areas of the body in order to create a series of cards from one original concept. The result: a set of four custom die-cult cards that can be used in either a serious or playful setting.
